PURPOSE:To obtain a coating composition capable of carrying out uniform and shrunk pattern finishing and useful for various kind of precoats, baking coating for household appliance, etc., by blending a resin with sulfonic acid blocked with a tert. amine and surface modifier at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The aimed coating composition obtained by blending (A) a resin mixture containing (i) a base resin consisting of hydroxyl group-containing polyester resin or acryl resin and (ii) at least one kind of resin consisting of methylated and butylated melamine at a wt. ratio (as solid content) of 60:40-95:5 with (B) 0.1-10wt.% sulfonic acid blocked with tert. amine having 80-150 deg.C boiling point and (C) either one surface modifier of 0.5-20wt.% organic high polymer particle having 0.001-30mu particle size, 2-30wt.% organic high polymer particle having 31-100mu particle size, 0.5-13wt.% silica particle having <=5mu particle size, 0.5-40wt.% inorganic particle (other than silica) having <=30mu particle size, 2-60wt.% inorganic particle having 31-100mu particle size and 0.5-30wt.% fiber having 20-300mu length and <=30mu diameter. |
