PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of sensitivity and rise of residual potential due to accumulation of electric charge by adding a charge generating material to a protective layer. CONSTITUTION:The positively chargeable organic photosensitive body 5 is formed by laminating on a conductive substrate 1 a charge transfer layer 3 made of an organic compound, a charge generating layer 2, and the protective layer 6 of a 1-5mum thickness formed by incorporating the charge generating material into an insulating material in an amount of 5-30wt.%. When the amount is too little, charge accumulation occurs and when too much, mechanical property, such as abrasion resistance, and corona resistance and humidity resistance are deteriorated. As the charge generating material to be added to the layer 5, the one same as that of the layer 2 or other than this may be added, and the known metal-free or metal-combined phthalocyanine, and azo type dyes or pigments, etc., are used, thus permitting accumulation of charge to be prevented and resistances to abrasion and humidity, and toner filming resistance to be enhanced. |
