<p>Current limiter comprising a cryostat provided with a first insulating bushing for an input conductor and a second insulating bushing for an output conductor, and a conductor extending from one bushing to the other inside the tank, the said conductor having at least one part made of a superconducting material, the cryostat being filled with a fluid at a temperature sufficiently low to maintain the said material in the superconducting state, the said part made of superconducting material comprising at least one pair of superconducting wires (7, 8) coiled up in opposite directions on two coaxial insulating mandrels (14, 15), characterised in that the ends of each of the superconducting wires (7, 8) are connected respectively, on the one hand, to the input conductor and, on the other hand, to the output conductor through identical elementary current intakes (21, 22).
