<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the mounting space and the number of wires, by differentiating the resistance values of a plurality of resistance elements arranged in a cassette in accordance with the size of the cassette, and allowing several types of the size of the cassette to be detected by a single comparator. CONSTITUTION:A pair of electrodes 3, 3 are attached resiliently in the bottom of a cassette receptacle 2 of the copying machine body 1. On the other hand, a pair of electrodes 7, 7 are arranged in one side of the paper sheet cassette 6 and are situated in the position opposite to the electrodes 3, 3, and a resistor RA is connected between the electrodes 7, 7. The resistance value of the resistor RA is differentiated in accordance with the size of the cassette. When the cassette 6 is mounted into the receptacle 2, the size of the cassette is judged, based upon the result of comparison of one input voltage of the comparator 8 that will be set in accordance with the size of the cassette and the other input voltage, and a prescribed luminescent diode LED11 is lit by the judged result.</p> |
