[Also in Division C3] Laminates are prepared by treating fabric (e.g. glass fibre) with a solution of a polymer derived from a phenolic compound and a compound of formula (where R may be an azo or azoxy-radical) in, for example, dimethyl formamide, dimethyl sulphoxide, hexamethyl phosphotriamide, pyridine and N-methylpyrrolidine, evaporating the solvent and pressing several sheets of the fabric together to form a laminate.</p> |
