The support arm is for fitment to a tractor, and supports a tool, such as a snow plough (23). A coupling between the support arm and the tool comprises a first rigid part (2) fixed to the support arm, and a second such part (12) fixed to the tool. There is reciprocal connection of the two parts. The arm is supported to the tool. This allows a gravity-dependent controlled movement in a height direction of the two parts (2,12) relatively to each other. The relative position between the two parts is dependent upon the relative height position of the support arm and the ground. The tool and support parts connected to it are in permanent contact with the ground. The snow plough locates against the ground via slide shoes (24), and its suspension is such that it rides over surface irregularities without harming e.g. an asphalt top coating on the ground. |
