PURPOSE:To improve operability of a welding machine and enable confirmation of selected welding condition at all times, by placing a switch for instruction to start operation and a signal generator for changing welding condition within reach of a worker and placing a starting circuit and circuits after a discriminating circuit at remote position. CONSTITUTION:A specified signal out of n kinds (n>=2) of signals of a signal generator 2 is set before starting welding. The output of the generator 2 is discriminated by a discriminating circuit 5 through a cable 3 as to which one out of n kinds it belongs. The result of discrimination is outputted to a welding condition setting circuit 7 through a holding circuit 6. When a switch 1 for instructing starting of operation is depressed in starting welding, a starting circuit 4 supplies a starting signal to a welding condition controlling section 8. By closing the switch 1, output of the generator 2 connected in parallel to it is also short-circuited. However, as the circuit 6 holds output of the circuit 5 just before closing of the switch, the circuit 7 continues to supply the specified welding condition to the controlling section 8. Accordingly, welding can be performed under selected condition. |
