<p>PURPOSE:To obtain always adequate setting quality by deciding the weight of fed recording paper by comparing the driving current to a paper feed motor with a reference value. CONSTITUTION:The driving current supplied to the paper feed motor 21 and the load applied on the motor 21 have a corresponding relation. The load acting on the motor 21 corresponds to the weight of the fed recording paper 5. The weight of the recording paper 5 is, therefore, decided by detecting the driving current. Namely, the driving current to the motor 21 is once converted to a voltage value and the driving voltage after the conversion is compared with the reference value. The weight of the recording paper 5 is decided by a deciding means 25 in accordance with the comparison output. The transfer voltage impressed to a transfer pole, etc., are controlled in accordance with the decision output. The always adequate setting quality is thereby obtd.</p> |
