PURPOSE:To enhance humidity resistance by dipping colored resin particles obtained by suspension polymerization in an organic solvent capable of swelling this resin and applying ultrasonic waves on the surfaces of the swollen resin particles. CONSTITUTION:The polymerizable composition comprising a polymerizable monomer and additives, such as a colorant, is subjected to suspension polymerization, and the obtained colored resin particles are dipped in the organic solvent capable of swelling this resin, and the ultrasonic waves are applied on the surfaces of the obtained swollen resin particles to give impact to them, thus permitting distances between the adjacent molecular chains on the surfaces of the colored resin to be enlarged due to wetting action, the hydrophilic group of a dispersion stabilizer present there to be brought into the inside of the resin, and consequently, the obtained toner to be enhanced in stability against environmental conditions, such as humidity resistance, fluidity, and potential stability. |
