PURPOSE:To eliminate synthetic resin coating such as gel coating in the overflow hole of a washbowl body after it is removed from a mold by inserting and securing a telescopic element in a lower metal mold, fitting a cylinder to become the hole on the element, and forming a synthetic resin layer of gel coating on the mold in this state. CONSTITUTION:A telescopic element 10 is inserted and secured at a position corresponding to the overflow hole 3 of a washbowl body 1 in a lower metal mold 8 of metal molds with a cavity 9 for the body, and the element 10 is covered with a cylinder 4. The cylinder 4 is extended at a flange 13 sidewise from the side end of the cylinder 12, and the element 10 is elastically inserted into the cylinder 4 with good adhesive properties. Then, gel coating 11 made of polyester resin or the like is sprayed from above the mold 8 to form a synthetic resin layer 5 of the coating 11 on the surface of the mold 1. Thereafter, after the coating 11 is cured, a molding material 7 is fed to the upper face of the mold 8, an upper metal mold 14 is then closed, and the material 7 is cured. After the material 7 is cured, the element 10 is removed from the mold 8, and the molding material is removed to obtain a washbowl. |
