PURPOSE:To stably control a shutter without being affected by inertia from a shutter member and a transmission mechanism by using a ultra<sonic motor as the driving source of the shutter member. CONSTITUTION:The title device is designed to drive the ultrasonic motor 2 with the aid of an output from an arithmetic means determining exposure quantity based on object brightness information and to open and close the shutter member 12. The stator of the ultrasonic motor 2 consists of an elastic body 3 elastically vibrating owing to electrostrictive vibration and piezoelectric ceramics 4a and 4b for imparting mechanical vibration to the elastic body 3. By electrically controlling the drive of the ultrasonic motor 2, the shutter can be controlled highly accurately without being affected by the inertia of the shutter member 12 and transmission mechanism. |
