PURPOSE:To obtain a compact luminaire having satisfactory luminous intensity distribution and appearance and a stabilizer satisfactorily radiating heat by disposing a stabilizer sideways to the base body part in the position below the bottom end of a fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION:A single base fluorescent lamp 4 formed by turning within almost the same plane face is installed in a socket 3, and the luminous part is extended downward along the base body part 2 surface, and a slender stabilizer 5 is disposed sideways in the position below the bottom end of the fluorescent lamp 4. The front surface of the base body part 2 is covered with a translucent cover. Hence, the whole luminaire can be formed in a thin form, and also when installed to a wall face, it affords a luminous intensity distribution close to the face luminescence of the luminous part. As the stabilizer 5 is disposed sideways below the bottom end of the fluorescent lamp 4, it never receive a convective heat from the fluorescent lamp 4, and thus the heat radiation is also improved. |
