NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R<1> is H or acyl; R<2> is H or expressed by formula II (R<4>-R<7> is R<1>); R<3> is (protected) carboxy]. EXAMPLE:A compound expressed by formula III. USE:Antibacterial agent. Preventive and remedy for diseases owing to leukotriene B4 (LTB4) such as cardiac infarction, hepatitis and articular rheumatism. The compound has antibacterial action and antagonism to LTB4. PREPARATION:WF11605 productive fungus [e.g., agonomycetes F-11605 strain (FERM P-1730)] is cultured, preferably in an aerobic conditions such as shaking culture, at 28 deg.C for 50-100 hour, and then the aimed compound is collected from the cultured substance.
