PURPOSE:To eliminate useless consumption of battery energy, by interrupting power supply from an inverter section based on an inverter interruption command signal fed from the load device side. CONSTITUTION:When commercial power is supplied, the commercial power is fed directly to a load (l) and an inverter section (d) is in interrupted state. Upon occurrence of power interruption, a power interruption detecting circuit (f) provides a power interruption signal to the inverter section (d). At the same time, the power interruption signal is fed to the inverter section (d). Consequently, an AC switch C is turned OFF and DC energy fed from a battery section (e) is converted through the inverter section (d) into AC energy, which is then fed to the load (l). The load (l) receives the power interruption signal, and power interruption avoiding operation takes place. When the load (l) transmits a stop command upon finish of the power interruption avoid operation, the inverter section (d) stops operation immediately. Consequently, the battery section (e) stops discharge in the way. |
