摘要 The invention relates to a multistage process for removing solvents contained in a gas in which removal of the solvent as far as possible without loss is ensured. This is achieved by the combination of the compression, condensation and pressure swing processes known per se to give a multistage process, virtually the entire amount of solvent being separated out by condensation by recycling the part-stream of the gas. The following process steps are carried out by removing the gas from the system at an outlet point (4) in a preliminary stage comprising a compressor (1), a cooler (2) and a separator (3) for preliminary separation of part of the solvent by condensation. The gas stream containing residual solvent is then fed to a final stage which comprises a pressure swing adsorption unit (6, 7) and is adsorbed by an adsorbent for separating off the residual solvent, a relatively large part of the purified gas then being removed from the system at an outlet point (9) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
