Base for vases

The known vases, in particular grave vases, are not very stable and can therefore easily topple over under the effect of wind, if they are placed on a level surface made, for example, of marble. The grave vases equipped with an insertion point are not suitable for placing on level surfaces. In order to provide a grave vase which can be both inserted into the ground and also placed on level surfaces so as to be secure against wind, supporting plates which can be locked to the base of the vase are proposed, which supporting plates, on the one hand when directed downwards, enable the vase to be inserted and, on the other hand when directed outwards, provide a stable base.
