Ski, and process for the production thereof

A ski produced by: a) warming a piece, in approximately ski length, ski width and maximum ski height, cut from a thermoformable, rigid foam slab having a density of greater than 100 kg/m<3> and containing urethane and/or isocyanurate groups, to a temperature of about 150-190@C, b) pressing the piece in a cold or warm mould to give a double-wedge-shaped ski core, c) laying a polyethylene running surface (base), a prepreg, the double-wedge-shaped ski core, a prepreg and a top layer of metal, plastic and optionally further decorative layers in a ski mould, and hot-pressing the ski.
