The scroll compressor includes a compressor part combined with a spiral scroll having vortex wrap and a fixed scroll, and a main body supporting the spiral scroll. The compressor part and the main body are contained in an enclosed container which is maintained with high pressure by communicating the outlet port of the compressor part with the inside of the container. 0i1 is supplied to the sliding portion by use of the difference between the high and intermediate pressure chambers within the enclosed container. The compressor is also provided with the valve assembly inducing the pressure under compressing to the intermediate chamber by selecting the passage according to the condition.
