PURPOSE:To obtain the title ribbon-like material providing FRP having excellent impregnating properties of liquid resin, smooth surface and high strength, comprising fibers prepared by opening filament bundled materials by entangling fibers put in order in the longer direction with fibers swollen in the perpendicular direction at plural positions. CONSTITUTION:A ribbon-like material 1 obtained by opening a great number of filament bundled materials is formed, interwined parts 2 are made by entangling the filaments constituting the ribbon-like material 1 at positions at intervals of the ribbon-like material 1 and the ribbon-like material 1 is divided into plural sections 3 by the interwined parts 2. Each section consists of first group filaments f1 and f1' wherein the ribbon-like material 1 is put in order in the longer direction and second group filaments f2 and f2' wherein the ribbon- like material is opened and swollen in the direction perpendicular to the longer direction and each filament is made to have equal whole length in such a way that a filament belonging to the first group in one section belongs to the second group in another section to give the aimed ribbon-like material. |
