<p>The plastic lens of the present invention is prepared from a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a monomer mixture prepared by adding alkyl methacrylate in a predetermined composition range to a conventional monomer mixture for a plastic lens consisting of diethylene glycol bis-allyl carbonate, benzyl methacrylate and diallyl phthalate each having a predetermined composition range. This copolymer has high adhesion to a mold and does not cause separation between the copolymer and the mold even when dipped into a washing solution such as a mixture of methylene chloride with a strong alkali. The lens of the invention can prevent the problems encountered in the conventional plastic lenses such as waving or fogging of the surface and occurrence of striae.</p> |
