摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To count not only the number of methanogens but the number of coexisting microorganisms as well by causing a sample to be irradiated alternately by a 1st light source and the 2nd light source so that two kinds of images are obtd. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from the 1st light source 100 passes an optical shutter 101 and a liquid suspension 8 is irradiated by this light through an optical filter 12, a condenser 10 and a cover glass 26. The fluorescence thereof passes the cover glass 26, a conduit 24, an optical filter 16, and a lens optical system 20 and is taken as a fluorescent image by a camera 21. The optical pat of the optical shutter 101 shutoff via an actuator 102 by the instruction of a controller 300 after this measurement and the optical path of the optical shutter 201 is opened via an actuator 202, then the similar measurement is executed. The methanogens are measured by the first measurement and the total number of the bacteria is calculated by the next measurement. The number of the bacteria exclusive of the methanogens is calculated by subtraction.</p>
