PURPOSE: To perform a damping effectively by installing a diaphragm, which is hermetically sealed in a pressure chamber after coming into contact with a rubber elastic spring element, in the pressure chamber, supplying compressed air between the diaphragm and the spring element, and separating them according to the compressed air force. CONSTITUTION: A pressure chamber 8 is provided with a diaphragm 16 to be clamped fluid-tightly in space between a spring element 4 and an annular wall 5, and when it is completedly contacted with an end wall 2 and the spring element 4, damping force is completely transmitted by a damping fluid in the pressure chamber 8. When compressed air is supplied from the outside to a conduit 17 between the end wall 2 and the spring element 4, an air chamber 18 is formed among the diaphragm 16, the end wall 2 and the spring element 4, whereby a contact degree of the diaphragm 16 to the spring element 4 and the end wall 2 is varied according to an amount of the compressed air. As air will not transmits the damping force, if the contact is completely gone, transmission of the damping force becomes unattainable. Therefore its transmission is regulated by a stepwise variation in the compressed air. |
