PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic apparatus for chemical analysis which necessitates no adjustment of a photometric system, by providing a means to detect a peak value of the quantity of light of zero-order light separated by a diffraction grating and a means to detect the quantity of light of each wavelength at a detection timing of the former means. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of light of each wavelength of a multiple light separated by a diffraction grating 16 is detected by a detector 17 constructed of a photodiode array wherein a large number of photodiodes each made to correspond to each wavelength. This detector 17 is connected with a plurality of preamplifiers each corresponding to each wavelength. In addition, a zero-order light detector 19 constructed of a photodiode is provided for a zero-order light separated by the grating 16, and the preamplifier 18 is connected thereto. By this constitution, an angle formed by a monochromatic light of each wavelength separated by the grating 16 and the zero-order light is fixed, and by detecting the quantity of light of each wavelength at the timing of detection of a peak value of the quantity of light of the zero-order light, the deviation of the detector made to correspond likewise to each wavelength from an incident wavelength is eliminated. Accordingly, the quantity of light of each wavelength can be detected without being affected by a change in an incident angle to the diffraction grating at the time of selection of an optical path. |
