A tank container, which is particularly suitable for relatively small tank volumes, has two triangular end frames (10), each of which is made up of two limbs (11) of equal length and a lower crossmember (12). The tank (15) can be connected directly to the frame assemblies (10) by means of end-side saddle structures (16) so that a frame underbody is not required. Provided at the tip of each end-side frame assembly (10) is a fixture (14) for the engagement of lifting tools. In this way, a lightweight frame construction is achieved; at the same time, the tank container is coupled at only two points to the respective lifting tool without there being any risk of tilting during raising. <IMAGE>
