DNA MIT GENETISCHER INFORMATION VON LIPASE

DNA from e.g. chromobacterium viscosum varietas pararipoliticum having genetic information of lipase and comprising a base sequence encoding a specific amino acid sequence (I) is disclosed. Disclosed also are a vector comprising such a DNA, a transformant comprising such a DNA, and a polypeptide exhibiting the lipase activity and comprising said amino acid sequence, as well as a process for preparing such a polypeptide. The process ensures a large scale production of polypeptide having a high degree of stability and high lipase activity. The lipase is useful for the production of fatty acid from triglyceride, as a reagent for quantitative analysis of triglyceride, and as a catalyst for oil and fat reforming process using ester exchange reaction.
