Adhesive material for medical purposes comprising a carrier strip with a self-adhesive layer and an adhesive-free edge region along the two opposite side edges on the side facing the skin, which is characterised in that a self-adhesive strip which can be easily detached is provided on the other side of the adhesive material along each side edge. The easily detachable adhesive strips preferably have a narrow adhesive-free edge along their inner edge pointing towards the centre of the carrier strip.
