PURPOSE:To reduce the electric power consumption, by turning on all power sources of a pertinent node when clock signal components existing in an optical receiving signal are received without error in optical data highway systems connected in series by optical cables. CONSTITUTION:The receiving signal from an optical cable 8 is applied to a signal processing circuit 5 through a photoelectric transducer 3. The signal from the signal processing circuit 5 is transmitted to an optical cable 9 through an electrooptic transducer 6. Clocks in the receiving signal are extracted by a clock extracting circuit 4 and used as receiving clocks, and the reception of clocks for a certain time is detected to start a power source controlling part 7, and all power sources of a pertinent node are turned on. |
