The invention provides a new football boot, in which, in the interests of avoiding fatigue phenomena during running and to achieve to the greatest possible extent natural/orthopaedic foot position with three-point support of the foot arch and the best possible guarantee of the natural deflection functions, the toe rays are, at least in the central foot region, received by the toe cap in such a manner that, in spite of bearing closely against one another, they exert no significant pressure effect on one another, at the same time the sole understructure being cambered with an inclination from the lateral side to the medial side. For the further fixing of the three-point support of the foot on the sole inner side, the heel region can furthermore be raised beyond the shaft end upper edge, it being possible expediently for an upwardly projecting, preferably cushioned tongue to offer protection for the Achilles' tendon region. A reinforcement of the toe cap serves to increase the shooting accuracy with a further protective function for in particular the central toe region, and a reinforcement of the medial side by a tab region drawn forwards from the heel region serves for stability. <IMAGE>
