Diamines and bismaleimides of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 denote an H atom or together denote the group -OC-CH = CH-CO-, Y1 and Y2 independently of one another denote O or S, and Het denotes a 5-membered heterocycle having 2 or 3 heteroatoms, and optionally incompletely cured, optionally fibre-reinforced polyimides prepared therefrom.
