PURPOSE:To stabilize a toner by suspending an oil phase of a radically polymerizable monomer containing carbon black into an aqueous phase dispersing a specified dye compound, polymerizing the monomer, then separating the obtained spherical polymer, and drying it. CONSTITUTION:The toner stable in performance is obtained by forming the oil phase of the radically polymerizable monomer containing the carbon black in an amount of 2-10wt.% of the monomer and a polymerization initiator, preferably obtained by mixing the black with the monomer in the presence of a peroxide type polymerization initiator for several hours, suspending the oil phase into the aqueous phase dissolving a suspension stabilizer and dispersing the dye compound represented by formula I, X<+> being a cation, polymerizing the monomer, then separating the obtained spherical polymer, and drying the monomer. |
