EXAMPLE:2-Ethenyl-4-ethyl-1,3,5,8-tetramethyl-9-oxo-10-methoxycarbonyl -7-[2-(2- dimethylaminoethyloxy)carbonylethyl]-phorbine. USE:An agent for the diagnosis and remedy for cancer. PREPARATION:The objective compound of formula VII can be produced by reacting the pheophoribides of formula IV with an agent for conversion into acid anhydride, reacting the product with a compound of formula V, etc., to obtain a compound of formula VI and finally reacting the compound with a lower alkyl halide of formula R'''X.
