Ein Rußfilter für Dieselmotoren weist ein Gehäuse (2) auf, in dem auf einem Träger (7) Filtermaterial (11) aus mineralischen Fäden oder Garnen angeordnet ist. Um zu verhindern, daß bei Fadenbruch das Filtermaterial seine zur Filterung notwendige räumliche Struktur verliert, ist es zumindest teilweise oder vollständig von Maschenware (12) gebildet, die wegen der Verschlingung der Fäden in den benachbarten Maschen auch bei Bruch der Garne im Bereich von einzelnen Maschen seinen inneren Zusammenhalt bewahrt. To prevent the filter material from losing the spatial structure essential to filtration should a fibre break, the filter material consists partly or entirely of knitted fabric (12) which, even if the yarn breaks, conserves its internal coherence in the region of individual loops because of the interlacing of the fibres in the adjacent loops. |
