PURPOSE:To output data to a printer at the character interval fitted to a character width, by storing number-of-row indicating data most fitted to the printing of a character in a head address other than a dot matrix pattern. CONSTITUTION:The number-of-row indicating data of the number of output head rows and that of output last rows are stored in the head address of the figure/character pattern of a character generator 204 corresponding to the width of a figure/character pattern. When there is the output request of the figure/ character pattern, a control part 301 sets the number of the output head rows of the head address of the figure/character pattern of the character generator to a row address counter 302 and the number of the output last rows thereof to a row address register 304. The row address counter is counted up from the number of the output head rows and successively reads the figure/character pattern to transmit the same to an output apparatus. Each time when the figure/ character pattern is read, the coincidence of the number of the output last rows stored in the row address register with the count value of the row address counter is investigated and, in the case of non-coincidence, the figure/character pattern is continued to the read until a coincidence state is obtained. |
