To produce individual printed product packages (33 to 36), feeders 1 to 4 which receive various printed products (6 to 9) are arranged above a rotating collecting line (5). In accordance with a predetermined printed-product distribution address and an individual insert code for each receiver, a computer (10) is used to actuate each of the valves (11 to 14) for the purpose of producing the individual printed product packets (33 to 36) on the collecting line (5). To the rear of the collecting line (5) the printed product packages (33 to 36) can be placed in film pockets (39) and addressed by an addressing device (41).
