A control system for a power steering appts. includes a steering angle sensor means (4b) arranged to detect each revolution of a steering wheel (1) from a predetermined datum and to produce an output signal, a vehicle velocity determination means (10), a resetting means (S3) for the counter means, and control means (5,6) for effecting power steering control by utilizing the count of the counter means as a parameter. The resetting means is adapted to reset the counter means when the vehicle velocity determination means indicates a velocity above a predetermined value and the steering angle sensor means produces an output signal indicative of the predetermined datum.
