<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal printing head drive circuit requiring a small experimental quantity for obtaining control data and a small storage quantity of memories, by making an image signal holding time constant and the duty of an enable signal variable. CONSTITUTION:Holding times TA, TB, TC for an image signal and a history assurance signal and intermittent pulse information tON are stored in a ROM table 22 of a timing controller 21. Here, the holding time information TA, TB, TC are constant independently of a substrate temperature Tf of a thermal printing head 1 and a resistant value R of a heating resistor. However, an ON time tON of an enable signal depends on the substrate temperature Tf of the thermal head 1 and the resistant value R of the heating resistor. Therefore, if the values Tf and R are changed, the value tON corresponding thereto may be fetched from a memory circuit. In this manner, the need for conducting an experiment with different continuous pulses according to an image signal is eliminated, which enables a smaller experimental quantity and a smaller storage quantity of memory circuits.</p> |
