PURPOSE:To maintain a good development state stably for a long term, by controlling a one-component type magnetic toner always to the necessary minimum amt. in a developing chamber. CONSTITUTION:A replenishing toner storage chamber 5 is installed, and it is connected through a longitudinal slit opening 4 to a developing chamber 1. A rotary magnetic roll 6 is fitted to the opening 4. When the toner T decreased to the prescribed lower limit amt. and a sensor A1 detects it, the roll 6 rotates for a prescribed time. The toner T held above the roll 6 is scraped with a scraper 9 and falls into the developing chamber 1. The necessary minimum amt. of toner is contained in the chamber 1 so as to prevent blocking of the toner T due to its own weight, thus permitting stable maintenance of a good developing state for a long term. |
