PURPOSE:To make it possible to process different kinds of booklets by providing a distinguishing means to distinguish the kind of the taken in booklets and a booklet position control means to control the position of the booklet against an information processing means to the optimum position according with its kind on the basis of distinguished result obtained by the distinguishing means. CONSTITUTION:When a bank book has been inserted into an inserting gate 2, a carrying means 3 begins to carry the bank book, and each of detectors 30-32 of a judging means 10 sends a detecting signal to a judging section 34 according to the width of the bank book respectively, and the judging section 34 send judged result to a control section 39. On the other hand, the bank book carried by the carrying means 3 on a carrying passage F is sent to the position of a magnetic head part 6 with its one end put aside by a positioning mechanism to a side guide on one side. When the judging section 34 has judged the width of the bank book to be narrow, a bank book position control means 9 makes an evacuating guide member 29 protrude into the carrying passage F, and when the judging section 34 has judged the width of the bank book to be wide, the control means 9 makes the member 29 keep as it is. |
