PURPOSE:To correctly grasp relative positions by protruding a hollow guide tube from one of shield driving machines facing each other and reading the position scale provided on the front face of the other shield driving machine with an optical fiber scope. CONSTITUTION:Two shield driving machines 1 and 1' drilling face to face are stopped at a fixed distance, a hollow guide tube 2 is protruded from one shield driving machine 1 by horizontal boring and brought into contact with the front face of the other machine 1'. An optical fiber scope is inserted into the guide tube 2 to read a position scale panel provided on the front face 3 of the other machine 1'. A strain gauge and an inclinometer are inserted into the guide tube 2 in sequence to measure the inflection state and inclination state in the lengthy direction of the guide tube 2. These data and the read-out value of the position scale are calculated and processed, relative positions of the machines 1 and 1' are correctly calculated. |
