PURPOSE:To improve rigidity for supporting a carried material body and to manufacture a belt accurately and simply by composing a belt of a fluted layer having a fluted cord arranged in a lateral direction of the belt, a tension member layer and a bottom rubber layer. CONSTITUTION:A fluted canvas 11 covered with rubber to a proper thickness is stuck on a vulcanizing metallic mold 10 with a fluted cord 2a arranged in a lateral direction of the metallic mold. A thin unvulcanized rubber sheet 12 is stuck on the canvas 11, and a core member 13 is spirally provided on the rubber sheet 12, and moreover an unvulcanized rubber sheet 14 is stuck on the core member 13. The above-mentioned stuck members and parts are thereafter pressurizedly vulcanized, and properly vulcanized by pressurizedly heating them, and then polished on its one or both faces into a proper shape and dimension. Thus, gas generated during a vulcanizing process is discharged through the fluted canvas 11 in the lateral direction of the metallic mold, and the core member 13 is supported by both the unvulcanized rubber sheet 12 and the fluted canvas 11, and thereby fixedly positioned and arranged without vertical movement, resulting in its no disorder. In addition the fluted cord 2a can improve the rigidity of a belt. |
