<p>A method and an apparatus for thawing ore or concentrate contained in a railroad car is disclosed. Current conducting electrodes are inserted in the ore or concentrate in the railroad car, and a voltage source is applied to the electrodes to cause a current of sufficient value to flow through the electrodes to produce heat and melt the ice around the electrodes.</p> |
