The web passes under a suction head and loose fibres are pulled onto the suction column. In addn., electrostatic charges are removed from the fibres to facilitate their removal. Air with a relative humidity of 100% (at the web temp.) is blown onto the web. Pref. in addn., the surface of the web is irradiated by an ionising source. |
