The device for assembling an optical fibre 12 with a micro-optical component 24 comprises a fibre-carrying cylinder 10 which includes a longitudinal hole 14 receiving the end of the fibre 12, the axis of the hole coinciding with that of the cylinder, and its diameter is slightly greater than that of the fibre, a tubular assembling ferrule (sheath) 20 provided with a longitudinal slit 22, into which ferrule (sheath) the cylinder 10 is fitted, the said micro-optical component 24 also being fitted into the ferrule (sheath) 20. <IMAGE>
