摘要 |
In the construction of an injection moulding nozzle having an integral wound heater, the heater coils are located in an annular coaxial recess which is subsequently filled with a cast metal (I) having good thermal condutivity and a lower melting temperature than the material comprising the heater wires. Pref. (I) is mm or an alloy thereof. The end of the nozzle may be maintained to suit a variety of injection heads. The top of the chamber is closed with a welded cap. ADVANTAGE - Simpler and cheaper to produce than conventional overmoulded sleeve of beryllium/bronze, to improve heat distribution to the melt passage walls. (10pp Dwg.No.0/6)
