PURPOSE:To prevent the dispersion of a pulse rate due to a human and measurement conditions by monitoring the largeness of a pulse signal at each filtering circuit prior to a pulse rate measuring action and selecting the circuit to indicate the maximum value of the amplitude of the signal as an optimum filtering circuit to a pulse signal frequency at such a time. CONSTITUTION:When, among memory digital amplitude information pieces P5, P6 and P7, the P5 is the maximum value, a detecting signal P8 is outputted from a maximum value detecting circuit 26, it is latched by a latch circuit 27, and a setting signal P11 is outputted. Consequently, a filter changeover control signal P14 is selected and outputted from a changeover control circuit 28. As a result, an amplifying signal P1 is outputted from an output terminal Q1 of a filter switching circuit 14, and a filter passage sensor signal P2 is outputted through a filtering circuit 15. The pulse rate measuring action thereafter is executed by the signal, and a pulse rate display is executed on a display 6. When a user executes sports such as running or the pulse is made fast during using, a pulse rate monitor switch MN is operated again, to repeat the above- mentioned action, and the optimum filtering circuit according to the pulse rate is selected. |
