PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a device by providing an operation detection means detecting the operation of a finger for a rotary knob and a power supply means applying the power supply of a rotion detection section of the rotary dial means in response to the operation detection output from the operation detection. CONSTITUTION:A remote controller 1 consists of a signal processor(CPU) 2 receiving an operation signal SH and generating a remote control signal SR based on the operation signal SH, a rotary dial means 3 supplying the operation signal SH and an operation device 4. Then the remote control signal SR is sent to a light emitting element 5. The light emitting element 5 is an oscillation element for an ultrasonic wave or a light emitting element for an infrared-ray and a communication wave WT such as the ultrasonic wave or infrared-ray modulated by the remote control signal SR sent from the signal processing means 2 is radiated to the outside of the remote controller 1. |
