The tool comprises of pincers consisting of two arms (200,210) shaped so that they will go round a drill chuck (22). A chuck key (260) is located in, but free to rotate in, one of the arms (210) such that the pinion (245) of the key placed on the inside of the pincers, comes in contact with the teeth of the crown wheel of the chuck. A thrust washer (290) is placed between the pinion (245) and the arm (210), to take the reaction. The pivot point for the pincers (207) is at the opposite end to the handles (205), and contains slotted holes (215) in one of the arms (210) for adjustment to suit various sizes of chucks. A variety of chuck keys can be inserted into the arm (210) to cater for different sizes of teeth in the crown wheels of the chuck. USE - As a chuck key for the tightening of a chuck on a drilling machine after a drill has been inserted. (13pp Dwg.No.2/2)
