PURPOSE:To attain automatic monitoring less in misdecision by specifying an object to be monitored from a reference image, recognizing and tracing a substance to be processed by comparison between a reference image and a monitored image and deciding the generation of an alarm on the basis of the sum of time during which the substance exists in the vicinity of the object to be monitored. CONSTITUTION:A reference image inputted from an image input means 1 is displayed on a display terminal 2 through an image processing computer 3 and the object to be monitored is specified by tablet specification or the like to the display and stored in the computer 3. Then, the computer 3 recognizes the substance to be monitored such as a human body on the basis of the comparison with a monitored image obtained from the means 1 and traces the object. The computer 3 decides whether the sum of time during which the substance exists in the vicinity of the object within a fixed time is a fixed time or more and whether the substance approaches the plural monitored substances or not, and when the substance approaches plural monitored objects and the sum of the time during which the substance exists in the vicinity of the object to be monitored is the fixed value or more, an alarm is generated from an alarming means 4, so that automatic monitoring less in misdecision can be obtained without executing visual ovservation. |
