PURPOSE:To improve the mechanical properties and intra-ocular stability of the lens by consisting the optical part or the optical part and supporting part of a soft polymer prepd. by curing a specific compsn. CONSTITUTION:The optical part or the optical part and supporting part are constituted of the soft polymer obtd. by curing the compsn. contg. (a) a dimethyl siloxane-phenyl siloxane copolymer having vinyl groups at both terminals of the molecular chain and (b) polydiorganosiloxane having >=3 hydrosilyl groups in one molecule. A filler and/or UV absorbent may be incorporated into the above-mentioned compsn. in this case. The used component (a) constitutes the essential component of soft silicone rubber after curing. Further, the hydrosilyl group in the component (b) is bonded and crosslinked by reaction with the vinyl group in the component (a) and is the essential component for forming the silicone rubber. |
