A hoisting apparatus for a delivery valve 6, preferably for use in mink feed read-out in silo tanks 1, comprises a unit 4, which can be fitted on the delivery valve 6. The unit 4 comprises a gear wheel 13, which interacts with a rail 2, which is mounted on the silo tank 1, and which is driven by an air motor 15. The motor 15 is able to raise and lower the unit 4 and the delivery valve 6 connected thereto between the bottom and top of the rail, guide rollers 17, 18, 21 and 22 interacting with the control surfaces on the rail 2 in order to fix the gear wheel 13 in direct engagement with the toothed rack-like rail 2. With such a hoisting apparatus it is possible to undertake delivery at the top of the silo tank very quickly without any risk. <IMAGE>
